Charlotte Karlsson
Lifelong learning is my passion, especially with a focus on sustainable development and everyone’s right to learn on their own terms.
With 25+ years of experience in education, first as a project manager at Global Action Plan and later as a preschool teacher and educational leader in a preschool organisation, I want to emphasise and highlight the importance of the team in creating effective transformative learning processes. Meeting techniques and diversity in ways of communicating to increase responsiveness within teams is therefore a major area of interest. Also, how teams relate to policy, adapting and adjusting themselves, or the policies, I find fascinating, especially in relation to competence development programs at workplaces.
My academic background is twofold, with a master’s degree in Geosciences, specialised in environmental and health protection issues, and as a licensed preschool teacher with a master’s degree in preschool didactics. This background also captures the combination of seriousness and playfulness I want to bring into my work, which today involves issues of transformative education.
