March 2025:

End of project, beginning of something new

The project, financed by the Erasmus+ Swedish national agency, has come to an end, with the highly satisfactory results posted in December. The work continues under the banner of ‘Innertopia: Live Your Power’, led by our project trainees in several countries.

December 2024:

Barefoot Coaching gets wings

From modest project to Campus material – this has happened:

• More than 20 trained coaches, or guides, from across Europe, nearly half of whom also trained as trainers
• Training of new guides started by several ‘graduates’
• A handbook for trained guides
• A new concept for using Innertopia groups to enhance mental wellbeing in the workplace; look out for Inner@Work
• Interest by management consultants in offering Innertopia services to their clients
• A new language, Turkish, in the booklet suite, for a total of 12 languages
• Pilot groups starting in several countries, including Ukraine and Turkey
• Numerous proposals to include the program in new projects and programs focused on mental health and wellbeing, including a possibility to offer guide training in universities
• A plan to offer online guide training through the Campus

All that in one year? We can’t wait to see what happens next!

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

BAREFOOT COACHING PROJECT 2023-2024

The project was designed to enable convenors of peer support groups to empower their group members, both individually and collectively, to become more capable and willing to engage with their communities. Based on outputs from the Hosting Empowerment project, we developed an education program for those working with such groups: coach training, primarily for volunteers, as well as trainer training for professionals.
