Justyna Doherty
Justyna Doherty is an interdisciplinary artist, educator and researcher exploring how creative practice can help us relate differently to time, uncertainty and the future.
Her work brings together participatory art, futures literacy and long-term thinking through making, storytelling, dialogue and material exploration. Across higher education, cultural institutions and community settings, she develops participatory artistic processes that explore how people experience time, navigate uncertainty and imagine futures together. Her recent work has focused on displacement, intergenerational resilience and ecological transition, asking how artistic practice might contribute to more caring, just and regenerative futures.
Justyna lectures at the Institute of Art, Design and Technology (IADT) in Ireland and contributes to international conversations on futures literacy, artistic research and regenerative education. Her research explores the relationship between time, imagination and futures literacy, examining how our experience of time shapes agency, participation and our capacity to care for future generations.
